Never use a disinfectant for cleaning inside a sauna  unless approved  by the manufacturer as some disinfectant can cause respiratory problems when the sauna heats up. 

Never use wood stain or varnish for the same reason.

To maintain the sauna it is best to use a soap and water solution to wash down benches on a weekly basis, but don’t over do the use of water as this will only rot the timber.

Christmas is almost here!  As we will all be busy and rushing around, here is a reminder of a few general chemical safety tips to remember to adhere to over the festive season  . . .

• Always read the instruction label on chemical products
• Always adhere to the instructions printed on the product label
• Always handle chemicals in a wel ventilated area, preferably outdoors
• Always keep chemicals out of the reach of children
• Always store chemicals in a cool, dry place
• Always put the lids back on chemical containers
• When prep-dissolving products always us ea clean container
• Never use chemicals that don’t have an instruction label
• Never mix chemicals
• Never dose chemicals when bathers are in the pool

Chemical Deliveries – Last orders on Thursday 15 December for delivery BEFORE Christmas.

*An overnight service is available on orders placed up to and including Tuesday 20th December but will be charged accordingly.

All stocked spares, essences, test tablets etc – Last orders on Wednesday 21st December for delivery BEFORE Christmas.

Any orders placed after these dates cannot be guarateed for delivery until Thursday 5th January (for spares, essences, test tablets etc) and Wednesday 11th January for chemicals.

Our Engineers will not be working on the 24th, 25th ,26th ,27th  and 31st December and the 1st and 2nd January.

We will endeavour to meet all call out requests over the festive season and in an emergency situation, if you require engineering support, please use the telephone number provided with your contract.

The most effective method of controlling the pollutants entering your pool or spa, is to ensure that bathers shower before entering the water.  This limits the amount of sweat, deodorant, make up etc, entering the pool, and therefore reduces the chemicals required to control the water balance.

Spa: A complete water change is required each time the number of bather entries has equalled half the spa water capacity (measured in gallons).  For exaple, for a 660 gallon spa, a full change of water is required after 330 bather entries (as opposed to 330 individuals entering the spa).

Pool:  Dilution (the addition of fresh water) limits the build up of pollutants from bathers.  You should replace the pool water as a regular part of your water treatment regime, at a rate of 30 litres per bather, per day.
